Psychotherapy is not one size fits all. It is a unique relationship that develops and responds to your needs, life experiences, challenges and resources.
You may be feeling stuck - repeating painful patterns in your relationship with yourself and others, wanting to make changes but not knowing how. Maybe you're experiencing difficulty in your creative life, or going through a major life change or loss. Perhaps you're seeking support following a sexual assault, or you've survived childhood abuse and the ways you've learned to cope aren't working anymore.
I meet you where you are and bring my clinical and life experience, deep listening, compassion, acceptance and creativity. Together we create and draw on the power of a safe, accepting therapeutic relationship to support growth and wholeness.
Our work together will include your body, mind, heart and spirit. We will find inspiration and direction from images, sensations, stories, dreams, imagination, and intuition.
Outcomes of psychotherapy can vary. Although there are no guarantees, many people experience positive benefits. You may find that you are better able to identify needs in current relationships and feel more empowered to communicate them and create boundaries when needed. You might learn when its safe for you to be vulnerable and ask for help. You may become better able to love, accept and trust yourself. Or you may develop and be better able to use strategies for self-care. Depending on the nature of the issue and how longstanding it is, you may experience improvement in the first several weeks, or we may make progress bit by bit. Throughout our work together, I welcome your feedback. This may include letting me know how you feel during and after our sessions, and how you are experiencing your relationship with me. Understanding what causes you distress, what doesn't 'work' for you and why, as well as what feels supportive or useful, makes it possible for us to create a therapy experience best suited to your needs.
